And I have a story for you.

It starts at a salsa club in Santiago de Cuba. I was there to learn to dance. I did not go there expecting to lock eyes with a Cuban dancer and feel my entire world cinco, seis, siete. I did not expect to get engaged under Cuban fireworks. And I certainly did not expect a global pandemic to slam every border shut between us, leaving us stranded in two different countries with the question of our future together hanging in the air: Do we accept this? Or do we break every rule to get back to each other?

That choice led to a 'love heist' so chaotic, so improbable, that sometimes I can't believe we pulled it off. It involved phantom plane tickets, a country we'd never heard of, and a leap of faith that changed everything. This is the story I've been dying to tell. The true story of how my husband and I learned to live... DANGERously in love.
